Strengthening the Circle

A Native Nonprofit Leadership Program

Upcoming STC Events:

About

Now in our 19th year, Strengthening the Circle is a collaborative initiative of Seventh Generation Fund, Generations Indigenous Ways, Artemisia Associates, WolfStar PR, and Hopa Mountain. Strengthening the Circle aims to build the capacities of experienced and emerging Native-led nonprofit organizations. Applications will be accepted from a team of Native nonprofit executive directors and Board members.

We host three gatherings throughout the year:

Virtual Gathering (Winter) | February 25th & 26th, 2025
Open to all Native-led nonprofits
Northern Rockies Gathering (Spring)| April 14 -17th, 2025
Open to Native-led nonprofits in the Northern Rockies and the Native nations that share the same geography
Great Plains Gathering (Fall) | October 20th – 23rd, 2025
Open to Native-led nonprofits from N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Minnesota, and the Native nations that share the same geography

We welcome your suggestions for workshop topics that you would like to see covered throughout the year. If there is a workshop you would like to teach, please let us know.

If you know of any new or emerging Native-led organizations that should be invited to participate as well, please share their names and email addresses with us, and we will send them the link to the application.

As always, we welcome the opportunity to do whatever we can to support your work.

Strengthening the Circle is made possible with generous support from the Northwest Area Foundation, the O.P. and W.E. Edwards Foundation, the Schmidt Family Foundation, the Wayfarer Foundation, the NoVo Foundation, and the Oro y Plata Foundation.  Program partners include the Seventh Generation Fund, Generations Indigenous Ways, Artemisia Associates, and WolfStar Productions.
